BEHOLD! THE COMMUNICATIVE POWER OF JEWELRY

The communicative ability of jewelry continues to fascinate me! My vision for this sterling silver statement necklace has been unfolding over the past year, and I’m stunned to see it finally come to life. I certainly channeled my inner Cleopatra while designing it.

Initially, the “Atomic Rose” was a single hand-fabricated pendant. Lost wax casting has enabled me to create this striking collar of ‘roses’ to arm and empower the wearer with sculptural originality.

I hoped to create a piece that would embody the strength in femininity, the emotive power of self-expression, and celebrate the human form and our relentless propensity to adorn it. The Atomic Rose presents the most storied flower in history in a bold, geometric vein, and showcases my obsession with the Art Deco style. The necklace itself turned out as I had envisioned, but I had no idea how powerful it would become once worn. Against a canvas of bare skin or dark hair, this piece speaks volumes without making a sound.

AN HOMAGE TO TIME

Meticulously crafted over a period of 40 hours, the “Chronos” is an homage to TIME, referencing both its unwavering passage and cyclical transition. (Thus, the circles.)

I’ve always been fascinated with age and time, the stages of our lives, and what each of them holds. When is the “prime” of a human’s life? 🤔 The body’s prime is in its youth. Alternately, the mind enters its prime as it becomes well-seasoned with life lessons.

But I’m a “present-minded” individual. I’d like to think every day is PRIMETIME!

The Chronos necklace is constructed in sterling silver with articulating ball studs and bezel set tourmalines. It wears as a choker. One-of-a-kind… just like the lifetime of its wearer.
